This is a unique opportunity to join the National Zakat Foundation (NZF), an organisation which distributes Zakat transformatively within the United Kingdom. NZF has two programmes to achieve this: firstly, the Economic Empowerment Programme (EEP) that distributes Zakat to those most in need in the community, and secondly the Leadership Investment Programme which supports the development of emerging leaders in the community and supports the building of lasting institutions.
By joining us a Programme Officer–Support (Administrator), you will play a key role in NZF’s EEP programme to help poor and vulnerable Muslims to be financially independent. This role is a front-line customer service role which carries out first-line checks on applications, responds to requests and enquiries, and signposts people to relevant sources of help where appropriate – in a way which is efficient, effective and shows empathy.
As a Programme Officer - Support (Administrator), you will have:
- The opportunity to help poor and vulnerable Muslims.
- 12-month fixed term contract with a possibility of renewal
- A salary of £22k-£26 dependent on experience
- An office-based environment at the Zakat Centre, in the heart of Whitechapel, right next to East London Mosque.
- Typical hours of 10am-6pm
